With a collective hive of creative thinkers, The Big Kids are making content and events for children, adults and intergenerational audiences that inspire creativity and active participation, underpinned with an ethos of kindness.
We don’t play down to kids, we collaborate with them!
Creating content for children should be centred on play that help their imagination, scaffold around their understanding of the world and give them confidence to connect with each other. Children have the capacity to understand complex ideas, they are boundless and fearless. The Big Kids create works that respect the intelligence of our young collaborators and encourage their capacity to generate inspiring ideas and concepts.
The Big Kids are made up of arts professionals who have worked with children, raised them, taught them and have been inspired by their genius. Our creative practice is informed by almost two decades of wide ranging work across film, television, theatre, media and entertainment. Individually we are respected by our peers and have worked with some of the best creatives in the country. We come from diverse cultural backgrounds and value difference in presenting robust and vibrant worlds for our community and audiences. Kids wholeheartedly participate if they can see themselves on their screens and digital platforms.
