The Big Kids views event production as the vibrant art form of community creation. We're dedicated to activating spaces and connecting people, and over the past two years, we’ve developed Goldy's into a Gold Coast icon for the Queer community.
Our expertise spans the entire spectrum of production: we proudly build events for the community, scaling from essential grass roots gatherings all the way up to ambitious, world-class celebrations like WUNDERBAR.

BERLIN @ HOTA
Goldy’s present BERLIN for the HOTA Underground Festival 2024.
Willkommen to the opulent underworld of the queer club scene of 1930’s Berlin. Where an irresistible blend of artistry, diversity, and bohemian spirit converge in one mesmerising night.
Amidst the alluring haze of a smoky bar, Goldy’s very own queer jazz band, the Dirty Martini’s wail with an old and new world sound and gender-bending performances. Indulge in our cocktail of the very best burlesque and live entertainment including Gogo Bumhole, Ja’mie Displays and Bendy Elle, on a night that transcends boundaries.
This is a haven for free spirits, where artists, queers and bohemians come together to celebrate the extraordinary and leave it all on the dancefloor with your musical maestro JR Dynamite.

WELCOME TO GOLDY’S (Live Events)
Goldy’s is an initiative to build community by supporting emerging artists and performers. In partnership with RADF Goldy’s will be hosting three events at different locations around the Gold Coast to build community and showcase emerging queer, local talent. Goldy embraces the past to look to the future.
Goldy’s First event will be ARVO DISCO at Hairy Mary’s
Sunday 4th August, 2024 3pm-7pm.
The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and the City of Gold Coast Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
Wunderbar! @ HOTA
Psst… you’re invited to the Gold Coast’s most outrageous party, for anyone who identifies as fabulous.
Wunderbar takes over the forecourt of HOTA’s outdoor stage, right under the jaw-dropping CLOUD PLAY installation, for one night of chaos, camp, and creativity.
Brought to you by Goldy’s underground queer party crew known for turning it all the way up, this one’s louder, wilder, and dripping in glamour.
Starring Gold Coast’s own pop royalty Natalie Bassingthwaighte, plus a knockout line-up of performers who may make you clutch your pearls, and DJs who won’t let you leave the dancefloor. .
GOLDY’S AT BLISS
Goldy’s curated a show for Bliss at Bleach Festival in 2023.
Directed and Choreographed by Goldy’s Troy Woodcroft, Casa Cosmica called on young queer performers from around the Gold Coast to showcase their talent in this Intergalactic Journey.
Goldy’s is committed to providing stages and opportunities to young queer artists and performers on the Gold Coast.

Introducing Goldy’s Arvo Disco, a low key, high vibes afternoon of the hottest local talent. Starring Benja & The Deadly Good. The GC’s hottest new Queer, Indigenous led Disco outfit. Joining B&TDG, Goldy is honored to have Gold Coast’s finest Drag artist, the one, the only, the Queen Natasha St James! You’ll hardly catch your breath and be swept onto the dancefloor for 2 hours of Power with QLD’s finest dance floor master Sweaty Baby
GOLDY’S @BADLANDS VINYL
Goldy’s have teamed up with the legends at Badlands Vinyl for a legendary record store party.
Live music from Emmy Hour and Qing Mibilham. Stand Up Comedy from Grace Hogan, and good time disco beats from SAINT BARAE. Goldy’s are building queer community on the Gold Coast by celebrating and supporting local queer artists and performers!

GOLDY’S @ COOLY BOWLS (Live Event)
We are heading South this time and landing at Cooly Bowls Club for a sunset session of dancing, drinking, craft and barefoot bowling.
We are so excited to welcome DJ legend GI Jode (Mardi Gras, Sugar) who will be crafting the beats for the afternoon.
Comedian JD Zamora will be your host and lawn bowls captain. If you come alone JD will hook you up with a team!
Create wizz Dixie Wrecked will be hosting a design and craft table where you can create something amazing to take home with you!
We’ll also have photographer Scott Ogier set up with a portrait booth to snap our stunning community.
